The first version of Ermilov Bold was created by Kyrylo Tkachov and Banda Agency for the international marketing campaign Ukraine NOW in 2018. This is a modern massive geometric sans with special bevels in the corners of the letters. Its creation was inspired by the works of the Ukrainian constructivist artist Vasyl Yermylov.
Font received a second wind in 2022 after the start of a full-scale russian war in Ukraine. For international communication, an extended Latin symbols was absolutely necessary.
And finally, for the third time, we returned to the typeface NOW to add light weights, Ukrainian alternates, ligatures and turn Ermilov into a full-fledged typeface for a wide range of tasks from book covers to websites.
